This tool will help painters increase their productivity, reduce physically straining tasks, and address the labor shortage among painting companies.We are looking for a Master Thesis/Intern to assist bringing our collaborative mobile painting robot to lifeWhat will you do?Work with RGBD sensors, i.e for obstacle avoidance, localizationWork with data from LiDARSWork with (V)SLAMDevelop Digital Twin, Simulation, for our robotWhat we offerWork remotely, but sometimes work with the robot might be necessaryFreedom to choose between working on SLAM, Digital Twin part or something else that can accelerate the performance of our robotFlexible working hoursA real-life mobile robot to work with and test different componentsAn opportunity to work in an early-stage startup where you can make an impactWe are open to your ideasWhat we look forRelevant (ongoing) education, ideally robotics or software engineeringProficiency in C/C++ and/or Python and Linux programmingExperience with ROS2, and optionally the navigation2 stackExperience working with Gazebo, tf2 and URDFFeeling comfortable working in a Linux environment[Optionally] Understanding of how SLAM works[Optionally] Experience working with 3D models, i.e stl, obj[Optionally] Experience working with Blender, or other 3D tool for making different simulation environmentsFamiliarity with GitAn eye for details and aestheticsA proactive, problem-solving attitudeFluent in EnglishIf you have projects you’re proud of, send us a link to them, i.e github, youtubePlease note that this is an unpaid position.Creative applications are appreciated.
